Intel IT: Making great progress towards transformation

I’m excited to bring you our mid-year edition of the IT Business review. In this edition, I share my assessment of Intel IT’s accomplishments against the strategies and priorities I set at the beginning of the year. Additionally, I explain my adaptation of an IT leadership “pyramid” I’m using to help explain the transformation required in the IT organization to provide value to the company and industry moving forward.

While Intel IT continues to deliver value to the business, I do believe we can do more. To provide the highest value to Intel, IT must be seen as a strategic team member with a “license to decide” on how we use technology solutions to transform the business. Getting to this level of leadership will require significant cultural change within the IT organization. To start this mindset and cultural change, we have found it critical to connect all IT employees to the IT Strategy and the priorities of Intel. My article in the IT Business Review app on the “leadership pyramid” discusses more about the efforts we are driving to evoke change.

In my radio show, I share how Intel IT is helping make Intel’s vision to “connect and enrich the lives of every person on earth” a reality. From providing social and mobile tools that help our employees work differently than they have in the past, to providing advanced analytics solutions to improve revenue and the overall efficiency of the company, we are pushing for higher levels of value contribution by understanding the business and user needs across the company.
