He discusses how Cray is working to help its customers tackle the most challenging supercomputing, data analytics, storage, and data management problems possible. The 180 PetaFLOPS Aurora system will help solve some of the most complex challenges that the Department of Energy faces today from material science and fluid dynamics to modeling more efficient solar cells and reactors.
Ed Goldman, CTO of the Enterprise Datacenter Group at Intel, discusses the maturity model that Intel is using to help enable enterprises lay the groundwork to move their data centers to SDI. Ed explains that the SDI Enterprise Maturity Model has five stages in the progression from traditional hard-wired architecture to SDI and how Intel is providing intelligence in the hardware platforms that include security, workload acceleration, and intelligent resource orchestration that help data centers become more enabled for SDI.
